Ever thought that ghost/horror fiction nowadays has a lot more gore/sexual fantasies attached to it than actual horror to it? Do you wish that the good old days of Bram Stoker's Dracula, Stephen King's Mile 81 and IT, or the 1870s to early 1900s make a return? I know I still wish that. And that is why I'm glad I came across this book.

When Jenine takes a photo with an abandoned polaroid camera found in a lighthouse while attending her friend's wedding, she discovers that she can see ghosts through the printed photos. What she doesn't realise, is that the ghosts can see her too, and with every click she draws herself closer to death.

The story line is simple and direct. There is no beating around the bush with the romantic whimsies of boy meets girl, or secretive alluring man with a hidden door in the house, or any other sexual subterfuge with some random serial killer coming to take your life like Scream.

It's just a plain simple ghost story, the way our literary horror heroes (the likes of Bram Stoker, J. Sheridan Le Fanu, etc.) would have liked it. I recommend this book to all horror fans looking for a simple, good and quick read.
